The Lakes Treatment Center is a fully licensed and accredited addiction treatment center serving all of Northern California. Founded by a mother and son team, we prioritize building strong relationships with our clients and developing effective foundations for lasting recovery.

We recognize that each of our clients comes to us with a unique story. At The Lakes Treatment Center, we believe in a whole-person approach to recovery. Our Services

Our residential program includes a full range of treatments to address all aspects of substance misuse and addiction. Some of these treatments include:

  • Medication-Assisted Detox: We utilize advanced methods and medications to provide our clients with the safest and most comfortable detox possible. We strive to ease withdrawal symptoms and ensure our clients have the support they need during this stage of recovery.
  • Pharmacogenetic (PGX) Testing: This cutting-edge treatment option utilizes your DNA to determine the best, most effective medications to aid you in the recovery process, as well as which ones to avoid.
  • Couples Treatment: We are proud to offer treatment for couples navigating recovery together. The Lakes Treatment Center is one of the very few addiction treatment centers in California and the entire U.S. to offer this service.
  • Prenatal Treatment: Our team assists pregnant mothers struggling with substance abuse and addiction. We offer a full range of medical services, as well as physical and emotional treatments, to aid mothers and their unborn children.
  • Life Skills: One of the most important elements of successful, lasting recovery is developing necessary skills to navigate life outside of our treatment center. We work with our clients to lay the foundation they need for future success.
  • Relapse Treatment: We recognize that relapse is a normal part of recovery for many people. Our team offers compassionate treatment and support for those facing triggers, challenges, and relapses, including multiple relapses.
  • Therapy: We offer a range of evidence-based therapy and counseling services, including cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as a variety of mindfulness-focused treatments, such as yoga, meditation, and more.
  • Optional Religious Services: As part of our emphasis on spiritual wellbeing, we offer optional spiritual services, including Bible studies and weekly services, in partnership with local churches and religious institutions.
  • Legal Coordination: We are able to assist our clients in managing any legal issues they may be facing, including criminal charges. Our team can coordinate with attorneys, courts, and probation officers in an effort to quickly resolve legal matters.
  • Recreational Activities: We offer a wide range of recreational activities to help our clients build confidence and develop new hobbies outside of alcohol and drug use, including hiking, boating and other lake activities, volleyball, swimming, and various artistic pursuits in our fully stocked art room. We also have a state-of-the-art, on-site gym where our clients can focus on physical health and overall wellbeing.

How We Help

  • High-End Treatment

    The Lakes Treatment Center is a converted lakeside resort offering all residents semi-private, resort-style accommodations with queen size beds overlooking the beautiful Lake Tulloch.

  • Evidence-Based Therapy

    The Lakes utilizes a wide range of evidence-based therapies, including cognitive-behavioral, attachment/commitment, mindfulness-based, rational emotive, and more.

  • Group Therapy

    Group therapy is proven to be highly effective in substance misuse treatment, allowing residents to openly share and learn from others' experiences.

  • Individual Therapy

    Residents will participate in individual counseling and therapy with our clinical staff. Additionally, working individually with psychologists and psychiatrists will allow residents to begin working through mental health and other issues.

  • Residential Program

    Following detox, residents will enter our individualized residential treatment program where they will begin learning the skills needed to develop and maintain an effective recovery plan.

  • Detox

    Residents are provided the most comfortable detox possible at The Lakes Treatment Center, with medical providers and nursing staff on site and available 24/7 to address detox symptoms and medication management.

We Support the Whole Family

We understand the importance of relationship building and family connection. To that end, we offer a family program every second and fourth Sunday of the month. Family groups are open to all residents’ family members, loved ones, and close friends. We also offer unstructured family visits on every first and third Sunday of the month.
